Curious if EU people pronounce VAT (value added tax) as an acronym "V-A-T" or as a word like "vat"

@norm Not EU, but I follow a lot of people there, and I've heard both so I'm not sure there really is a "correct" way to say it, much like "SQL"?

@norm i pronounce it as vat in my head, but in speaking i always use the unabbreviated german term (umsatzsteuer / mehrwertsteuer)

@norm depends tbh. Logically it should be v-a-t but I also called it VAT when I don't care

Always just pronounced it as a word but I heard others spell it out so idk what's the "correct" way to say it

@norm I say vat as a word. similar to the sat (the Korean test, I say it as one word as well)
