Give people a complete program for the usecase you've envisioned and they'll complain about edge cases and missing features.

Give people powerful primitives and a way to arbitrarily combine them, and they will build the program they need themselves, programs which you've never dreamed of.

Of course this is about Minecraft.

Any resemblence to Unix is coincidental.

@norm tbh I don't know much about bedrock, but I assume most of the inventions of the Technical Minecraft Community don't work there?

@wolf480pl @norm bedrock also lacks modding tools

(Also it's generally really buggy)

@Mae @norm
buggy is good though?

faster-than-light arrow cannons are built on bugs

shadowtech was built on bugs

beating TRUE skyblock (

is built on bugs

@wolf480pl @norm yes, but those are fun bugs. Bedrock meanwhile has client side desyncs(even in single player) that will kill the player randomly, because the server decided that you jumped off a cliff/didn't place a block/flew into a wall

@Mae @wolf480pl afaik bedrock for a long time had a bug where if you were far out enough you could fall into an invisible gap between blocks into the void thanks to them using lower precision floats

granted you had to be several millions of blocks away from spawn but still
