I am so jealous of the US having such a plentiful used market for electronics compared to everywhere else

Sucks that importing stuff from there costs an arm and a leg

@norm It's just as annoying in the other direction occasionally. When I got my mitts on a "parts" minitel (dead tube driver from what I can tell, haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. Logic board is still putting out perfectly coherent video when powered independently), it was one that the seller over in spain had accidentally listed internationally, so they had to re-list it with higher shipping when I went for it... (The cancel and re-listing was necessary for ebay's buyer protection)

Shipping was damn near the same cost as the terminal...

(My next target is an old Japanese payphone or what can only be described as "used train parts", whichever comes up at a reasonable price-point first. But that will probably have to wait until the tariffs implode because I'm not paying
that much for what's basically a shelf-item...)

Part of me does kinda wish I had a Facebook account to access FB Marketplace but I don't feel it's worth dealing with Facebook just to buy and sell used goods locally
