hearing about how english classes in japanese schools suck reminds me of how much french classes suck here, like you have to take them but they don't really help you learn the language in a meaningful way

@jeder it's more like there's one part that is stubbornly french speaking and everyone else is stubbornly anglophone

@koakuma yeah exactly, I stopped caring about learning French for years once I stopped having to take those classes.

Now I kinda want to try getting into it again but I don't want to split my attention between learning two languages when I've not even fully grasped the one I'm learning right now.
