I am kinda tempted to see how well this instance runs on an SD card, but I kinda have a feeling it would be pretty bad. It's currently running on an M.2 SATA SSD attached via USB.
instance administration
@heather akko.wtf is on a VPS with 8 GB RAM, shrimp.biribiri.dev is on a Pi 4 with 4 GB RAM I have run the former with 4 GB of RAM before, only reason I have more is cause it's the smallest VPS size with the necessary disk space.
I believe some newer stuff is RISC-V, but it's wild how even a cheap SSD is probably more powerful than an IBM 5150 from the early 80s
tfw my server is running on an arm cpu talking to another arm cpu for storage, another one for ethernet, etc
@novenary worse is when they send that code via sms instead
@EpicKitty reminds me of the one that my old t480 used my current hp elitebook has one that just works in linux, but I've not really used it all that much ironically
@epsi this reminds me of those ultra modded skyrim showcases
Man the whole AI debate has become a circle jerk on both sides
Which for SATA is especially important since at least with NVMe, you can use a portion of system ram for the cache (HMB) but SATA has no such facility.
Afaik, the only new SATA SSDs that have a DRAM cache are Samsung ones. Pretty much everything else I've seen are cheaper to produce DRAM-less stuff.
Firefly in a maid outfit really do be popular huh
