Switch off work laptop
While it's shutting down, open screen's input selection to switch to my PC
Laptop turns off
Screen turns black and won't let me do anything for 5 seconds

What is it about screen menus that causes manufacturers to make them such a pain in the ass?

@volpeon I don't even know if there's a way that screen OSDs can be made to be good, aside from cheating like having a remote control
